The City of Richmond is inviting residents, businesses and visitors to help shape potential improvements to parking in the Steveston area.

As part of an ongoing study of parking supply, use and opportunities for improvement in Steveston Village, the city is seeking public input through an upcoming open house and online survey.

Data collection for the study has been ongoing throughout 2025. This involved observing parking patterns at various locations throughout Steveston during both peak and off-peak periods to better understand how existing parking facilities are being used and whether they are meeting current demand.

As the next step, the city will be hosting an open house to share findings and hear directly from the public.

Open house details

  • Date: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
  • Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Location: Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site’s Chinese Bunkhouse (5180 Westwater Drive)

Residents are encouraged to share their feedback by attending the open house or completing an online survey at LetsTalkRichmond.ca by Sunday, February 1, 2026.
